DOB: February 28, 1980

Bio: Otogi Ryuji was born for one reason, and one reason alone: to take revenge on Mutou Sugoroku by hurting his grandson, Yugi. Why, you ask? It goes back to when Otogi's father played a game against Sugoroku, lost, and was aged several decades in a few seconds. Even though he had had the audacity to challenge a game master, Otogi-san resented Sugoroku and raised Otogi as a child of vengeance. Otogi began his vendetta by building the Black Clown Game Shop, right across the street from the Kame Game Shop, thus depriving the Mutou family of business. He then enrolled in Domino High and began a campaign of humiliation and harassment by baiting Jounouchi into gaming against him, then forcing Jounouchi to act as his servant when he beat him. Yami Yugi took exception to this, realizing that all the games had been rigged. He played against Otogi and won Jou his freedom back. Otogi then baited Yugi into his Black Clown shop by introducing a new game, then framing Yugi for shoplifting. What will happen? Read the manga and find out!

Personality: Otogi comes across as malicious during his introductory arc. He is condescending toward Jounouchi and sadistic to Yugi. After everything is squared away, Otogi wants to redeem himself. He also seems to have a thing for Shizuka.

My Thoughts: Honestly, I'm not too fond of this guy. His mistreatment of Jounouchi does nothing to win him any favors. The way he treats Yugi after framing him for shoplifting is even worse. After he joins with Yugi and Co, he never does anything useful again. Just a pointless character overall.
