Favorite Duel Monsters Cards: Anzu doesn't usually duel, but when she does, calls upon Shining Friendship and Black Magician Girl. 

Bio: Anzu has been Yugi's friend since they were in grade school. When she first met Yugi, he gave her a game, but she broke it in frustration. Since childhood, Anzu has aspired to be a professional dancer on Broadway, going so far as to work a part time job in defiance of school rules.

Personality: Anzu has a bit of a forceful personality at times. Stout in heart, she isn't afraid to lock horns with Jounouchi and Honda when they bully Yugi in the first chapter. She has also told Kaiba off a time or two. Anzu believes in the power of friendship and is often the glue that holds the little group together and cheers for the duelists to power through no matter how bleak things may seem.

Anzu is also shown to have a bit of a crush on Yami Yugi, wanting to know more about him as more than just the Other Yugi. Her feelings toward normal Yugi are a bit more ambivalent.

Thoughts: I'm neutral toward Anzu. I don't hate her and I don't love her. Like Honda, she's just sorta there. Unlike Honda, she really never gets to do much that's useful to the group, other than being the resident cheerleader and friendship speech maker. I know a lot of fans dislike her. I don't think she deserves all the vitriol she gets, but I rarely if ever include her in fanfictions because I feel like I'd have to wedge her in if I did. If I do include her, it's in bit parts only.
